$221k Settlement for Rear-End Collision

Our client was the driver, with two passengers, of a four-door vehicle. They were on the 15 freeway approaching the Spring Mountain exit in Las Vegas, NV.

At that time, the defendant driver was traveling at a high rate of speed directly behind our client’s vehicle. Our client slowed for the stopped vehicles ahead when the defendant failed to slow down in time and slammed into the rear of our client’s vehicle.

As a result of this collision, our client’s vehicle sustained extensive rear-end damage.

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company accepted liability in this matter.

As such, our clients were entitled to full compensation for all economic and non-economic damages proximately caused by the defendant’s negligence, including the reasonable value of medical care and expenses incurred, and/or they are reasonably likely to incur in the future

Our client went to the emergency department of Doctors Medical Center of Modesto for evaluation and treatment of the injuries sustained due to the motor vehicle collision that occurred. They complained of headaches and aching pain in their neck, shoulder, and back associated with lower back stiffness. Our client rated their pain at 8/10.
