Woman Dead in El Rancho Drive Single-Vehicle Crash
A single-vehicle crash was reported on Sunday, January 10th in El Rancho Drive. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened on El Rancho Drive near Hunt Court. The vehicle involved was a Volkswagen Golf. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle suddenly veered off-road and crashed into an electric pole. It also hit a nearby dirt mound and a tree before finally crashing in an upturned position in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle was occupied by a driver and a female passenger. The female passenger was fatally injured from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was also injured, although it is unknown how severe their injuries are. They are receiving treatment at a Santa Clara County hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
