The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Fullerton Fire Station, North Harbor Boulevard. The unknown vehicle suddenly struck the garage area of the fire station, damaging its structure. The driver had minor injuries as a result of the crash, but no one else was injured. Authorities are still investigating whether the driver was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Can You Be Held Responsible for Public Property Damage?

Yes, you can. If you were a driver who was involved in a car crash and damaged nearby public property, then you may be expected to pay some fines to the local, state, or federal government. However, if you were not the driver at fault, you have reason to argue that you should not have to pay the fines.
