South LA Police Chase Ended with Car Crash

December 22, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A police chase in Southern Los Angeles ended with a crash on Monday, December 14th. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was one of the authorities involved in the incident, which started on 103rd Street and Compton Avenue just before 5:00 a.m. LAPD was pursuing a stolen car that was carrying several occupants, including the driver. The car was eventually involved in a single-vehicle crash on 62nd and San Pedro streets while it was trying to evade LAPD. The driver was apprehended at the scene, but one of the passengers managed to escape.

If Your Stolen Vehicle Was Involved In A Crash, Are You Responsible for It?

Generally, no. However, you may be liable if you haven’t reported that your vehicle is stolen. Thus, it is imperative that you do so as soon as you have discovered that your vehicle is missing. By doing so, any criminal actions done in the stolen vehicle can no longer be attributed to you, including a car crash.
