Rapper and music producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested by federal agents earlier this week. The music mogul, also known as Puff Daddy or P. Diddy, has been embroiled in a sex scandal for nearly a year. After numerous public allegations, the U.S. Attorney’s Office filed a formal indictment that led to Diddy’s arrest.

While Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest took place on Monday, September 16, photos from court documents were not released until the following day. The indictment lists three federal charges against Diddy. The crimes include promoting prostitution, racketeering, and sex trafficking.

Over the past year, Sean Combs has seen his music career go downhill as a result of various allegations and lawsuits. As a result, Diddy was the subject of a federal investigation that culminated in his detention. Meanwhile, the rapper has always maintained his innocence, according to his lawyer.

Latest News on Sean Combs

Following the verdict, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs appeared in federal court to testify in connection with his three felony counts. In the public document, the prosecution stated that Sean Combs “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sensual desires and to conceal his conduct.” Prosecutor Damian Williams told the press that the first allegations date back to 2008. Williams added that Combs established a sex trafficking empire with a system based on violence. Among other things, he subjected women to prolonged sexual relations with other people under the influence of drugs.

Despite the accusations against Diddy, the producer mantained his innocence in court. However, the judge denied bail and Sean Combs will remain in custody until the trial of his federal case.

But, what exactly is going on with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs? Where is Sean Combs now?

What Did Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Do?

P. Diddy’s scandal dates back to the end of 2023. After a life dedicated to the music industry, the artist was first sued by his ex-girlfriend and singer Casandra Ventura. Also known as Cassie, the rapper’s girlfriend of 11 years sued him for rape, sexual assault and sex trafficking.

The lawsuit against Diddy was settled a day after it was filed. However, months later, CNN released a video showing an assault in which Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs beats Cassie. This alerted authorities to investigate further.

Since Cassie’s lawsuit against Sean Combs, numerous victims have come forward to accuse the rapper of sex crimes. In total, at least 10 lawsuits have been filed against the music producer. All of the civil suits describe Combs as a violent sexual predator. Most of the lawsuits allege that the music mogul used alcohol and drugs to subdue his victims.

The allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs date back to between 1991 and 2024. Some of the victims of the producer’s crimes include:

  • Joi Dickerson-Neal. She alleges that Combs raped her in 1991, videotaped the assault, and later distributed the video against her will.
  • Liza Gardner. Then 16, she claims Sean Combs and Aaron Hall raped her after plying her with alcohol when she was a minor.
  • Jane Doe. Doe accuses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and others of gang raping her in 2003 after drugging her when she was 17.
  • Rodney Jones Jr., one of the most recent cases, alleges that Combs drugged him and forced him to perform sexual acts.

Diddy’s Home Raided by Federal Authorities in March

Because of all the public complaints, federal authorities began an investigation. After gathering evidence and proof of the crime of racketeering and sexual assault, federal agents raided his home in March 2024. Narcotics, firearms, and ammunition were found during the search. It is not known if Diddy or anyone else was arrested during the raid.
