Road Rage Incident Led to Fatal Car Crash in South LA
A vehicular accident that followed a road rage incident on November 28th in Southern Los Angeles is being further investigated by authorities. The culprit of the accident, a 19-year-old man who was driving a Mitsubishi Outlander on Hopper Avenue, ended up crashing into a 2020 Toyota Corolla and a telephone pole before fatally injuring a mother and severely injuring her 9-year-old son. The man was trying to flee from another vehicle on Central Avenue, an SUV whose passenger was threatening to shoot him during a road rage incident while blocking the man’s driving path. The SUV driver and the passengers have yet to be found afterward.
Can A Person Who Isn’t Present During A Vehicular Incident Be Held Responsible for It?
It is possible. What the plaintiff needs to prove is the accused party’s liability in the incident. For example, in the case above, if the plaintiff can work with a lawyer to determine how the SUV driver is also liable for the crash that ensued, then it is possible to hold the SUV driver and passengers responsible for that action. However, if you plan to do a similar thing, you must consult a lawyer first to aid you in preparing a case that would hold up in court. We can help you with this.
