Are Injuries from Work-Related Car Accidents Covered by Employers?
If you were injured in a traffic accident while doing work for an employer, any injuries that you sustain must be covered by the employer. For Californians, this is true regardless of whether you are an independent contractor or not. Additionally, if you are not the at-fault party in the accident, you can also pursue a personal injury claim against the driver who is responsible. You do this separately, of course, not on behalf of your employer. To know more about the process of filing a personal injury claim after a work-related car accident, call us at (800) 310-1606 for a free consultation.
