Adamson Ahdoot Is Proud To Be the Santa Monica Women’s Rugby Team Shirt Sponsor

During the week, Adamson Ahdoot Litigation Assistant Cat Montgomery helps clients recover from some of the hardest moments of their lives. As a member of the litigation team, she strives to put clients first and ease their worries. But on the weekend, she’s the one putting people through hard moments and giving the opposing team plenty to worry about. She does so as a member of the Santa Monica Women’s Rugby Team.

The team is known affectionately as the Phins. Santa Monica is a Division I and II rugby team that plays in the Southern California Rugby Football Union. Their division fields teams from three states; Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada. Their storied history includes a 2014 Women’s Southern California Division I Conference Championship. That title earned the Phins a spot at the 2014 Nationals, where they placed sixth in the country. “As the Southern California Division II champions from 2009-2011, SMWRC earned three consecutive appearances at Nationals as well,” according to their website. They are currently ranked second in their division.

Montgomery has been proud to wear the Phins jersey for two years. And now, Adamson Ahdoot is proud to be on the Phins jersey and a partner for the team in the community.

AA Law is honored to join the Phins team and be the jersey sponsor for the Santa Monica Women’s Rugby Team for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Found on home and away jerseys, the clean, circular logo is a complementary addition to an already great shirt.

“The sponsorship Adamson Ahdoot provided helped our team so much. With it, we were able to get brand-new jerseys for the new season,” Montgomery explained. “Sponsorships such as AA’s help us get new gear, pay for trainers, pay our coaches, secure field space, and so much more. Women’s sports often go underfunded and so any help we can get from community sponsors such as AA is so appreciated.” 

The “self-described baby paralegal” and her teammates have already taken the field in their new jerseys. They recorded a 28-12 win over Pasadena on March 11, 2023, while sporting the Adamson Ahdoot-emblazoned shirt. Now, Montgomery and her teammates have a trusted partner that will have their back on and off the field.
