October 19, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A car accident occurred in South Bakersfield on Monday, October 12th. Bakersfield Police Department is the lead investigator in the case. They received information from eyewitnesses that the crash took place around 3:30 p.m. The accident happened near East Panama Lane and Cottonwood Road.

A female driver was traveling east in a silver car when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle and collided with a nearby semi-trailer traveling west. She sustained fatal injuries from the crash and by the time paramedics arrived, she had already succumbed to her wounds. It is unknown whether the occupants of the semi-trailer were also injured from the crash. Authorities are still looking into what may have caused the crash, but preliminary investigation rules out the influence of alcohol and drugs as well as a vehicle traveling above the speed limit.

Who Do You File Claims to as a Victim of a Work-Related Automobile Accident?

If you were injured by a driver who was traveling for work-related purposes, then you should know that you need to file your claim first against their employer. To do this, you must exchange information with the driver before leaving the scene. This will help you to pursue the claim faster later on. There are also some merits in choosing to consult a legal counsel before starting your claim. They will help you with determining the best course of action for you to take as an automobile accident victim.
