Are Motorcycle Single-Vehicle Crashes Covered by Auto Insurance?
If you experienced a single-vehicle crash while traveling on a motorcycle, whether or not your injuries or damages would be covered depends on your auto insurance policy. Generally, if you live in California, unless you have personal injury protection (PIP) coverage included in your auto insurance, you will have to pay for any damages incurred out of your own pocket. However, this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to claim anything from your auto insurance. You need to check your insurance policy to see what coverage you can claim according to the situation surrounding your crash.
