Outreach Team AA meets Habitat LA
Over the weekend, the amazing Adamson Ahdoot Outreach team was at it again, partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, or Habitat LA to build and renovate homes in Los Angeles.
According to their website, “Since [their] founding in 1990, Habitat LA has built, renovated, and repaired more than 1,300 homes locally and worldwide, transforming thousands of lives.” Incredibly, since the time that sentence was published, more than 200 additional homes have been built or renovated in the Los Angeles area and in other places in the world.
By building and repairing homes in partnership with hardworking, low-income families and individuals, the work Habitat LA does can be felt by thousands of people and families.
“Habitat LA is thrilled to be back in person! In June 2022, we started building two new construction homes at our latest development, Isabel Villas, in Willowbrook. Once completed, the site will be home to eight new Habitat LA partner homeowners,” Director of Development Victoria Green explained.
“We’ve accomplished a great deal over the past 30 years, thanks to the support of donors and volunteers. We are incredibly grateful to Adamson Ahdoot for their generous contribution and for bringing their employees to the site for a day of team building. Together, we are working towards our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.”
El Segundo was the site of the build on Saturday, and all six members (and Narda’s dad!) of the Adamson Ahdoot team threw on a hard hat. Behind safety glasses and hammers, they put on an entire morning’s worth of heart and hard work into the endeavor.
A commitment to our community
This is the third month in a row that the Adamson Ahdoot Outreach Team has represented AA Law with their wonderful volunteer work. This time around, it was important for the team members to give back to Los Angeles by contributing to the effort around providing affordable housing.
Outreach team member Catherine Montgomery explained that Habitat LA’s cause was chosen to “aid the Los Angeles community directly.”
“Adamson Ahdoot is all about giving back to our community. There is no better way to connect [with our community] than to promote the importance of financial literacy and to be a part of the process to help create affordable housing for our fellow Angelenos,” Montgomery shared.
