Building Community with Habitat LA
The Adamson Ahdoot Outreach Team Spent Saturday Morning Building Homes With Habitat for Humanity
Last week, we told readers about one of the first outreach events the AA Law team ever took on. Three months into our mission of helping the community, we had the privilege of helping Habitat for Humanity LA. This July 2022 event saw the Adamson Ahdoot team return to the site where it all started. And it was just as enriching as the first time!
Since that July 2022 event, the outreach team has been able to help several different organizations. Habitat for Humanity LA was always close to our hearts, however. That’s why it was such an honor to return to the site where it all started for us with Habitat LA. Our return to the original El Segundo houses where we first started building was illuminating.
According to their website, “Since [their] founding in 1990, Habitat LA has built, renovated, and repaired more than 1,300 homes locally and worldwide, transforming thousands of lives.” Their work can be felt by thousands of families and will impact their community for generations to come. With Los Angeles being a city with rampant homelessness, this work is critical. This is why the AA Law team finds it important to contribute.
Returning to the same El Segundo work site allowed the team to see how far their previous contributions have progressed since our last event. It was also a way for the team to see firsthand just how much of an impact one team can have. It is more than likely that this build site will be finished by next year. Adamson Ahdoot will be around to lay new foundations, though. Together with Habitat for Humanity LA, we’ll make sure this work continues.
