A police chase on Friday, November 6th in Los Angeles ended with a crash. The Los Angeles Police Department was involved in the incident. The officers were chasing a suspect on the stolen vehicle, a white car of an unidentified model, in Bell. The suspect ended up crashing into multiple street objects, and at one point, tried to evade while traveling between two other vehicles. The suspect struck a road divider on an unknown freeway afterward and tried to flee on foot. Authorities successfully apprehended the suspect just past 9:30 p.m.

Who Do You Sue if Your Property Was Damaged in a Police Chase?

In this type of circumstances, it is best to assume that the police are the party responsible for causing the damage. After all, the suspect may not behave as erratically if the police did not relentlessly pursue them. When you choose to take up this line of reasoning, a way for you to get justice for the damage done to your property is by pursuing a claim against the police’s employer. This can be the local, state, or federal government. We can provide you with the necessary legal assistance to prepare for your claim. Call us today for a free consultation at (800) 310-1606.
