Can You Pursue A Personal Injury Claim After Statute of Limitations Have Passed?
Unfortunately, no. You cannot pursue a personal injury claim if the statute of limitations on your car accident case has passed. For car accidents in California, you have up to two years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury claim. We advise you to do this as soon as possible if your suspect was already identified. You can do this regardless of whether your case will also be processed in the criminal court.
