A single-vehicle crash was reported to occur in Bakersfield on Sunday, November 1st. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened at around 3:00 p.m. at College Avenue and Oswell Street. A white Toyota SUV crashed into the lawn inside a house in the area. The vehicle was overturned as a result of the crash. Can Your Home Insurance Cover Car Accident Damages in Your Private Property?
Yes, it can. In most cases, home insurance covers damages done due to vehicular crashes. However, even though it would be easier to just use your home insurance, we advise you to pursue a claim against the at-fault driver, nevertheless. This is because if you don’t file a claim, it is possible that your home insurance premium will go up in the following months, even though the damage done to your property was not caused by your own negligence. If you’d like to pursue a damage claim after a car crashed into your property, you can call us for a free consultation by dialing (800) 310-1606, available 24/7.
