Bicyclist Struck by Car in San Jose

A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday, December 23rd in San Jose. The San Jose Police Department is leading an investigation into the crash. The incident happened on Monterey Road, near Palm Road just after 7:30 p.m. A silver 1990 Honda Civic was seen to have struck the bicyclist while driving north. The bicyclist was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed by authorities although it is known that the bicyclist is an adult male. The occupants of the Civic were not injured. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
