79-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck by Car
A pedestrian was hit by a car on Thursday, November 5th in Palo Alto. Palo Alto Police Department were the authorities present at the scene. The accident happened between Lytton Avenue and Waverley Street, at about 10:40 a.m. The pedestrian, a 79-year-old female named Pinxiang Zhou, was using the pedestrian crossing when a Honda Fit heading west hit her. Zhou was severely injured, and although she was transported to the nearest hospital, she died on arrival. The driver, a 30-year-old Oakland woman, was uninjured. An initial investigation found that the driver was not driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
