$500k Recovered for Car Collision
Our client was the restrained operator of a vehicle traveling northbound on Road 152 near the intersection of Avenue 224 in an unincorporated city of Tulare County, California. At the same time, the defendant was operating a white-colored vehicle directly behind our client’s vehicle at a high rate of speed.
As our client stopped his vehicle for the traffic ahead, the defendant driver failed to stop in time and collided with the rear of our client’s vehicle. Upon impact, our client hit their head on the headrest and hit their chest on the dashboard.
The police officer on the scene found the defendant at fault for the collision in violation of California Vehicle Code Section 22350 CVC for driving at an unsafe speed.
Our client complained of headaches and pain in their neck, chest, and low back. Our client rated their pain at 7/10. Physical examination demonstrated spasm and tenderness to palpation in their cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. They also had tenderness in his chest and decreased range of motion in his cervical spine.
