$3M Settled for a Large Truck Rear-End Accident

Our client was on I-5 southbound, approximately 2000 feet south of Stewart Rd. The defendant, who was driving a large truck, was traveling on the same road in the town of Lathrop, in San Joaquin County, where the rear-end accident occurred.

They were traveling on the freeway with due care immediately in front of the defendant, who was driving a large Ford truck. As our client and the defendant proceeded southbound, the defendant failed to slow down and stop within the flow of traffic. Accordingly, the accused driver violated Section 22350 of the California Vehicle Code by recklessly striking the rear of our client’s vehicle. This code states that no person shall drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent.

Due to the force of the impact caused by the negligence of the defendant, our client suffered severe injuries. Over the course of the following days, the victim began to experience symptoms. Our client had to undergo surgery to treat the delayed injuries caused by the collision. In addition, the victim suffered severe back and neck pain from the large truck rear-end collision.
