September 23, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

On Sunday, September 20th, a car accident occurred just past 7:30 p.m. between South Santa Fe Avenue and South Alameda Street. The crash involved two vehicles belonging to a deputy sheriff and a civilian.

The deputy sheriff was responding to a request for assistance from another deputy. The sheriff’s vehicle, an SUV, had its lights and sirens on. While heading to the location, it crashed into another vehicle, and the SUV was upturned. The deputy sheriff was sent to the hospital to receive treatment for their injuries. Other people in the civilian vehicle also suffered from some minor injuries, although the exact number of people injured is unknown.
