Two Motorcyclist Dead After Accident in Tustin

October 16, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

On Sunday, October 11th, two motorcycle crashes were reported to occur nearly at the same time, at roughly the same location, which was at Jamboree Road near Barranca Parkway. The Tustin Police Department received information about the incident at around 3:13 a.m. Both of the vehicles’ drivers lost control of their motorcycles and ended up in separate single-vehicle accidents. Both motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as a 33-year-old man named Quintin Lilienthal and a 29-year-old man named Daniel Lilienthal. They both hailed from Hemet, although it is unknown what the relationship between the two was.

Can You File Wrongful Death Claims in Single-Vehicle Crashes?

You can, if another party contributes to the incident. What this means is if another party is at-fault for causing the single-vehicle accident to occur, then you can file a wrongful death claim against them. This can occur if the single-vehicle accident was caused by improperly managed premises, such as overgrown trees falling on the vehicle or badly maintained roads causing the vehicle to veer off.
