Lancaster Single-Vehicle Crash Killed One Person

On Wednesday, September 23rd, a single-vehicle crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m at Lancaster. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The vehicle, a 1999 Nissan Frontier, was traveling east on Avenue J when the vehicle veered off and crashed outside the roadway. The Nissan Frontier was overturned several times as a result.

The driver, who was later identified as a 61-year-old man named Jaime Omar Marroquin, was thrown off the vehicle. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators are not yet ruling out alcohol or drug use as the cause of the incident.
