Female Driver Dead in Two-Vehicle Collision in Lancaster

A two-vehicle collision was reported on Wednesday, January 20th in Lancaster. Lancaster Sheriff Department was one of the first responders present at the scene. The incident happened between Avenue I and 7th Street East at about 1:00 p.m. A Nissan Altima that was heading west collided with a Toyota Camry in the intersection. The Nissan Altima was carrying one person, a male driver of unknown age, and so was the Toyota Camry, though the driver, in this case, is female. The female driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene while the male driver was severely injured and was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital to receive treatment. Authorities are still conducting an investigation of the case.
