Can Furniture Manufacturers Be Held Responsible?

Of course! The furniture manufacturer may be liable for product defects. Any bed company that is involved in causing injury could be responsible for a defective device claim.

In California, all companies that manufacture, distribute, and sell goods to consumers have a legal duty and responsibility to ensure the safety of their products. In addition, bed companies often carry product liability insurance to cover claims in the event of injury.

Anyone involved in any part of the product process may face liability for defective products. Faulty bed accidents can be caused by product design defects, manufacturing flaws, distribution problems, lack of warnings, incorrect instructions for use, or even misleading advertising.
