19-Year-Old Dead in I-680 Single-Vehicle Crash
On Saturday, December 12th, a fatal car crash was reported on I-680. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The incident just before 8:00 a.m. near Mission Boulevard. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash, a Honda Civic. It was occupied by only one person, the driver, a man aged 19 named Jorge Ramirez Jr. The Honda Civic suddenly went off-road while heading south on the I-680 and crashed into a tree. Authorities believed that alcohol intoxication was not a factor and the crash and that the slippery road caused by the rain on Friday may have contributed to the incident.
What Happens If Weather Conditions Caused Your Loved One’s Fatal Crash?
Bad weather conditions have been found to significantly cause more run-off crashes than good ones. Unfortunately, most insurance denies any form of coverage in these types of conditions, since it falls under the ‘Act of God’ category. However, this depends on what type of insurance coverage your loved one had. If they had auto insurance that included comprehensive coverage, you should be entitled to file a claim and not be denied the payout that is within your rights as a benefactor of your loved one’s estates. If you’re having issues with your auto insurance and would like to consult a lawyer to know more about what options are available at your disposal, call us at (800) 310-1606 to get a free consultation on your case.
