Two Dead After SUV-Semi-Trailer Crash in Pomona

On Tuesday, November 3rd, a two-vehicle crash was reported in Pomona. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the crash scene. The incident happened on 57 Freeway, near Temple Avenue just past 3:30 a.m. The vehicles involved were a semi-trailer truck and an SUV of unknown model. The SUV struck the backside of the semi-trailer truck due to unknown reasons. The semi-trailer was being parked at the time of the incident. As a result of the crash, two people had fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Several lanes of 57 Freeway were closed while the investigation of the crash was ongoing.
