Our client was the driver, with two passengers, of a four-door vehicle. They were traveling on the 15 freeway approaching the Spring Mountain exit when they were struck just outside of Las Vegas, NV. The rear-end collision caused the victims to suffer severe neck and back pain.
While driving on the freeway, the defendant driver was traveling at a high rate of speed directly behind our client’s vehicle. Upon the presence of other vehicles in front of our client, our client slowed down. However, the defendant failed to slow down in time and slammed into the rear of our client’s vehicle.
As a result of this collision, our client’s vehicle sustained extensive rear-end damage.
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company accepted liability in this matter.
As such, our clients were eligible for full compensation for all economic and non-economic damages caused by the defendant’s negligence. These damages included the reasonable value of medical care and expenses incurred and/or likely to be incurred in the future.
After the rear-end collision, our clients went to the emergency room at Doctors Medical Center of Modesto in Las Vegas for evaluation and treatment of their injuries, as the victims complained of headaches and neck pain. In addition, they had shoulder and back discomfort and lower back stiffness. Our client rated their pain as an 8/10.
