Our client was a pedestrian walking on a sidewalk on Western Street near the intersection with Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA. At the same time, the defendant was driving a vehicle in a parking lot. The accused intended to exit the parking lot and made a left turn from 41st PL northbound onto Western Avenue. However, the defendant failed to yield and struck our client. The impact dragged our client into the middle of the street. This Los Angeles pedestrian accident was severe enough to cause serious injuries that our client contacted a lawyer at Adamson Ahdoot.
Upon impact, our client lost consciousness. They were in and out of consciousness, dizzy, disoriented, and in shock. When the police officer arrived on the scene, the agent found the defendant driver at fault for the collision. The accused driver violated California Vehicle Code Section VC 22106, which states loss of control.
The paramedics of the Los Angeles Fire Department evaluated our client at the site of the collision. They complained of abrasions to the right forearm, hand, and left leg as well as pain in the right-sided abdomen. Following the application of the safety restraints, the paramedics transported our client to the emergency department of California Hospital Medical Center without incident and transferred the care to the waiting emergency department staff.
A Los Angeles lawyer from the Adamson Ahdoot team secured $100K compensation for the pedestrian victim injured in the accident.
