Reported Downey Crash Involved Multiple Vehicles

October 13, 2020 Alan Ahdoot Uncategorized

California Highway Patrol received information about a crash in Downey just before 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9th. The crash involved multiple vehicles and took place on 5 Freeway, near Lakewood Boulevard. The number of vehicles involved is not yet released by the authorities. It also not yet known how many people were injured or dead from the incident.

However, a SigAlert was issued for lanes heading southward due to crash-related debris littering the freeway lanes. Traffic congestion was reported for several lanes of 5 Freeway due to the clean-up process from the crash. Several lanes were also closed for a few hours due to the ensuing crash investigation.

Can You File A Personal Injury Claim if You’re Not Injured from a Car Accident?

Well, no. But before immediately dismissing the possibility of a personal injury claim, you should first be aware of the possibility of a delayed injury. Oftentimes, blunt force trauma is more noticeable when you are injured in a car accident. Yet, it is likely that your minor injuries become major injuries later on, especially those involving situations where you hit your body parts.

Luckily, if you live in California, you have up to two years to file a personal injury claim to the at-fault driver and you are also able to file a claim to your insurance provider for a car accident injury within the same time span if need be. If you’d like to know more about possible legal actions to take if you don’t suffer from blunt force trauma in a car accident, call us to discuss your case with a legal expert for free by dialing (877) 871-3265.
