Saad Sweilem has dedicated his life to amplifying the voice of those most needing advocacy
Adamson Ahdoot is excited to welcome Saad Sweilem to our team of experienced attorneys.
Saad has made it his mission to advocate for marginalized communities and individuals in his community. As a proud Muslim-American, he understands the challenges faced by underrepresented groups and has dedicated his career to defending their civil rights. This realization is part of the new attorney’s foundational journey.
“People talk about the voice of the voiceless, but I think everybody has a voice. I think our job is to help them find that voice, tell their story, and guide them through the complex legal system, which is really intimidating to people. Especially the more vulnerable and marginalized people who really find themselves needing our help the most,” Saad explained.
Saad earned his undergraduate degree from UC Davis and his law degree from the University of California, Hastings. While in law school, he was a member of the board of MELSA (Middle Eastern Law School Association).
Before joining AA Law, Saad was a deputy public defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office. He also gained national media recognition while working for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a grassroots civil rights and advocacy group.
While there, he advocated for a young family separated due to the harsh policies of that time period’s administration. The Bay Area native was awarded the Civil Rights Achievement Award by CAIR – Sacramento Valley for his outstanding work in the community.
At Adamson Ahdoot, Saad will continue to use his expertise to amplify the voices of marginalized individuals. He will help guide them through the complex legal system. AA Law is proud to have Saad on the team and looks forward to the incredible work he will do for clients.
