The sedan struck the male bicycle rider from behind when he was traveling south on St. Louis Avenue. The driver of the sedan immediately fled from the location according to several bystanders who were eyewitnesses at the scene.

Can Bicycle Riders File A Personal Injury Lawsuit?

Generally, yes. When another party is found to be the negligent party causing a traffic accident to occur, you can file a lawsuit against them. This is especially important for bicyclists since they don’t usually have auto insurance. Thus, taking action against an at-fault driver is imperative when your health insurance doesn’t cover the injuries you sustain from the accident.
