October 1, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A hit-and-run incident was reported to have taken place in Cambodia Town on Sunday, September 25th 2020. Long Beach Police Department is one of the authorities responsible for the case. They received information that the accident occurred near Anaheim Street and St. Louis Avenue around 11:50 a.m. The incident involved a sedan of unknown dark colors and a bicycle.

The sedan struck the male bicycle rider from behind when he was traveling south on St. Louis Avenue. The man suffered from some severe injuries on his upper body parts, and was transported to the hospital for further treatment. He is currently still in critical condition. The driver of the sedan immediately fled from the location according to several bystanders who were eyewitnesses at the scene.

Can Bicycle Riders File A Personal Injury Lawsuit?

Generally, yes. When another party is found to be the negligent party causing a traffic accident to occur, you can file a lawsuit against them. This is especially important for bicyclists since they don’t usually have auto insurance. Thus, taking action against an at-fault driver is imperative when your health insurance doesn’t cover the injuries you sustain from the accident.
