A 29-year-old man who is charged with being the perpetrator of a hit-and-run incident on August 21st pled not guilty for his crimes. The incident occurred near Lindbergh Field, and a 66-year-old bicyclist was severely injured due to the crash. The suspect was riding a 2005 Dodge Caravan and was accompanied by two passengers, an unidentified male and a 50-year-old woman. Video footage taken at the scene of the accident shows that after the collision, the suspect and the female passenger left the vehicle. The driver and the female passenger were seen staring at the wounded bicyclist, offering no aid. They immediately removed the victim’s bicycle from under the suspect’s van afterward and fled from the scene. Within a few weeks after the incident, the suspect was apprehended outside a Vons in Lake Isabella.
