On August 29th, 2020, a Honda car was driving in the wrong direction at the I-5 when it crashed onto a Toyota car near North Sacramento. The resulting impact caused the Honda car to collide with a semi-truck.

The Honda car driver died at the scene. The Toyota driver suffered from severe injuries while the semi-truck driver had some minor injuries.
