$124K Recovery for a Rear-End Accident
Our client was the operator of a vehicle traveling westbound on E Valley Boulevard. The driver had a green light and proceeded through the intersection with N 9th Street in Colton, California. At that time, the defendant, who was driving a vehicle southbound on N 9th Street, ran a red light at the intersection. As a result, they struck our client’s car, causing a right rear tire collision. The severity of the impact was so severe that it caused our client’s vehicle to flip over. As a result of this accident, it struck the curb and a pole on the driver’s side of a street in Colton.
The police officer at the scene found the defendant at fault for the collision. In particular, for violating California Vehicle Code Section 21650 for failing to maintain the right side of the roadway. As a result of this incident, our client’s vehicle was totaled.
Our client went to a doctor at Centro Medico Integrado for an evaluation. There they were treated for injuries sustained in the Colton car accident. Our client complained of constant, moderate-to-severe, throbbing headaches and constant, severe, dull pain, stiffness, tightness, and muscle spasms in the neck, mid-back, and lower back. They reported associated lightheadedness, nervousness, and loss of sleep. The back pain radiates into the left leg. The symptoms aggravated with working and exercising.
