Overturned Single-Vehicle Crash Injured Three

October 12, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A single-vehicle crash was reported to have taken place on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020. Los Angeles County Fire Department is one of the first responders at the scene. They received information that an unknown vehicle was carrying three occupants when the driver lost control of the steering. The vehicle was overturned as a result of the crash.

The incident occurred just past 5:30 p.m., between Poe Parkway and Hemingway Parkway. The occupants of the vehicle were trapped inside, although firefighters on the scene successfully managed to rescue them. However, it is unknown how severely injured the victims were. Authorities are still conducting an investigation on the case.

Are Certain Automobile Vehicles More Likely to Experience Rollover Crashes?

Unfortunately, we can’t quite determine whether certain vehicles are more likely to be overturned during a crash than others. Certainly, if there was a vehicle defect then a certain vehicle model might be at a higher risk than others. Nevertheless, it is known that certain vehicle types can have higher fatalities than others when they are involved in a rollover crash. In fact, in 2018, IIHS found that SUV and pickup-truck occupants are more likely to die from a rollover crash than car occupants. Although the cause of this has yet to be determined, you may have reasonable cause to suspect a vehicle defect if you believe that you were driving safely. You should know that you can file a product liability claim if you choose to pursue legal action. If you’d like to discuss this further with our legal counsel, call us at (877) 871-3265.
