Can You File A Claim Against A Governmental Entity for A Car Accident?
Yes, you can. If you think that your car accident was caused by a governmental entity, be it on the local, state, or federal level, then you can pursue a personal injury claim against them. Thus, you are directing your personal injury claim not on the individual responsible for the accident, but directly to their employer, which is the government. However, if you choose to pursue this legal avenue, you need to consult an attorney beforehand since the process can be more complex than a personal injury case against an individual or even an insurance provider.
