French Montana to pay $130,000 for dog bite

May 19, 2022 Robert Jalon

Famed rapper French Montana has been ordered to pay 130,000 to his ex-pool cleaner as part of a lawsuit against him. Juan Lomeni, a pool maintenance worker at the artist’s home, filed a complaint in 2018 stating that Montana’s dog Zane attacked him violently.

Four years after the event, a California jury has found in favor of the former employee, requiring the singer to pay him $130,000 in damages. The verdict was reached based on Lomeni’s testimony, who could not work and earn an income after being bitten by the German shepherd. Lomeni claimed trauma from the bite and forceful attack, which left him with an excruciating injury, in addition to financial loss.

Despite Zane’s aggressive and impetuous behavior toward the former pool cleaner, French Montana has not separated from his animal. But, this isn’t the first time the dog has gotten the rapper into trouble. In 2019, he bit another maintenance worker, demonstrating his aggressive nature once more.
