One Driver Dead in Car Crash at Highway 85
On September 16th, 2020, a car crash between two Lexus cars occurred just past 8:00 a.m., in Cupertino on Highway 85. California Highway Patrol is the authority responsible at the scene. A 45-year-old woman, who drove one of the cars involved, a 2003 Lexus, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman lost control of her vehicle while driving on the ramp and eventually collided with a 2015 Lexus. Both vehicles then crashed into the road guardrail. The 2015 Lexus driver suffered from some injuries and has been sent to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for further treatment.
Is It Possible to File A Lawsuit Against A Dead Driver?
It isn’t uncommon for drivers to die in a car crash. Sometimes, the driver who dies is the one responsible for the crash in the first place. Nevertheless, if you were the other driver involved, and sustained both non-economic and economic damages from the incident, you have the right to file a claim against the driver. In this situation, the lawsuit should be directed to the beneficiary of the driver’s estates. The success rate can vary, however, and if you want to know yours, you can discuss your case with us beforehand. To receive a free consultation from us, please call us at (866) 698-2306.
