A multi-vehicle crash was reported in Bakersfield on Thursday, November 5th. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The collision occurred between Fairfax Road and Lexington Avenue just past 8:30 p.m. Three vehicles were supposedly involved in the crash. Who Is the At-Fault Driver in a Multi-Vehicle Crash?
Multi-vehicle crashes involving more than two vehicles can be more difficult to process investigation-wise, since the people present at the scene may have differing accounts of the event that transpired. This can be an issue, since in several states if more than one drivers were suspected of sharing the fault of a crash, no legal action can be taken by the party. This is valid even if one person is more at-fault than the others.
