Our client was working in their capacity as a government employee as a driver of a government-issued vehicle. They were traveling eastbound on Anaheim Street through the intersection of Gaffey Street in Los Angeles, California. At the same time, the defendant was traveling in a Freightliner truck northbound on Gaffey Street. The accused made a sudden left turn into Anaheim Street, sideswiping our client’s vehicle on the right side. As a result of the side impact of the collision, our client struck their head onto the left-side window of their vehicle.
The police officer at the scene found defendant at fault for the side impact collision. In particular, for violating California Vehicle Code Section 21802 (a) VC for failing to yield the right of way to oncoming vehicles on a highway. As a consequence of this accident, our client’s vehicle sustained extensive damage. More specifically, this T-bone collision severely damaged the rear side of the plaintiff’s vehicle. The accident caused our client to suffer permanent and disabling injuries. The accident attorneys at Adamson Ahdoot obtained a $2.1 million settlement for the client’s injuries and property damage.
