On Monday, September 28th, a multi-vehicle crash went down on Union Avenue, near East 8th Street. As a result of the collision, one car was thrown into a building. The accident is thought to have taken place during the evening. It is still unknown how many vehicles were involved and how many people were injured. However, the eyewitness report tells that at least one person was injured, and was sent to the hospital using an ambulance.

Can You Be Sued for Damages When You Are the Victim?

Generally, this rarely happens. But there are situations where the defendant files a counterclaim against the victim (or plaintiff). This is very likely to happen in two-vehicle crashes, where both parties were injured. When one of the injured parties chose to file a personal injury claim against the other party, this person can file a counterclaim if they think that the plaintiff caused the vehicular accident. This doesn’t mean you should shy away from filing a personal injury claim, though. We can provide you with legal advice on whether a personal injury claim is the best course of action for your case situation. To get a free consultation today, call us at (877) 871-3256.
