A 19-year-old man was arrested for killing a pedestrian and causing property damages over the weekend in Gardena, Los Angeles. The man stole a pickup truck from an auto repair shop, and in the process of evading pursuit, ended up hitting a woman near the traffic lights at Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. He was suspected to have been driving while being impaired by alcohol.

Can You Sue An Arrested Driver?

When the perpetrator of a hit-and-run is arrested by the authorities, it is only a matter of time before they have to appear in court to face their charges. However, the damages that you and your loved ones endured as the victims of their crime remain, especially if the car accident resulted in fatalities. If you’d like to pursue a lawsuit against the negligent driver, it is best that you find a suitable legal representative to manage your case. We can provide you with a free legal consultation from one of our personal injury claims attorneys at any time by calling (866) 698-2306.
