On September 7th, 2020, a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck collided with a Dodge Avenger sedan around the area of Avenue J-8 and 10th Street West in Lancaster. The accident, which was reported at around 9:00 p.m. the same day, claimed the life of the driver, a pregnant woman. The driver of the pickup truck, who was suspected to have been driving under the influence, fled from the scene before the authorities arrived.
