A single-vehicle crash took place at Acton on Monday, September 21st. California Highway Patrol received a report of the incident shortly after 12.00 a.m. The accident killed the driver of the vehicle which was identified as a man in his 40s. He was with another person, an unidentified passenger who was also injured in the crash. This individual is currently receiving treatment and is expected to recover from their injuries. Investigation to discover what caused the crash is still ongoing.

As A Passenger, Can You Sue A Negligent Driver?

You can file a lawsuit against a negligent driver as a passenger. But, if you were a passenger in a car accident, and suffered from injuries because of the driver’s negligence, the first thing you should do is file a claim to their insurance provider. Do not use your own insurance to take care of your injuries, because it would result in higher insurance premiums for you.

If the driver’s insurance provider did not compensate you fully for the damages you suffer, you can choose to file a personal injury claim against the driver. If you need legal assistance in starting this process, you can call us to talk about your case at any time by dialing (866) 698-2306.
