Car Crashed into Building in Norwalk, Two Injured

September 28, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A single-vehicle car crash occurred on Sunday, September 27th in Norwalk. Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports from eyewitnesses that the accident took place around 10.45 p.m. It happens on Studebaker Road, close to the entrance of the 105 Freeway.

The driver of the vehicle suddenly lost control of their vehicle after exiting the freeway. They ended up crashing into the wall of a medical building. The impact of the crash was quite hard, causing a rupture at the wall. This is the second time in 16 months that a vehicle was reported to have crashed into the structure. The driver and the passenger suffered from some minor injuries. The police investigation determined that neither alcohol nor drug intoxication was found to have been a cause in the incident.

Can Premise Liability Cause Car Accidents?

Absolutely. We can especially see that it is very likely that in the case described above, premise liability is a factor in causing the crash. The location of the building is near the exit-entrance of a freeway, which means that the possibility of a crash happening is high.

In fact, a prior incident in the same location means that the building owner should have taken the proper precautions to ensure that future accidents do not occur. However, we can see that the precautions (if there were any) were not good enough to warn the drivers of the possible danger ahead.
