Can You File Personal Injury Claim After A Single-Vehicle Crash?
Whether or not you can file a personal injury claim after a single-vehicle crash depends on the circumstances of your crash. If the single-vehicle crash was due to your own negligence, then you certainly cannot file a personal injury claim against another party – though you can file a claim to your own insurance provider if you have the applicable auto insurance coverage, such as PIP (Personal Injury Protection). It is possible to file a personal injury claim if your single-vehicle crash was due to the negligence of another party, such as improperly managed personal property, such as trees which fell on your car, or badly maintained roads.
