One Year Anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s Helicopter Crash

January 25, 2021 Alan Ahdoot

It’s been one year since the death of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant, in a helicopter accident in Los Angeles on January 26th, 2020. Several other people were also victims of the crash, which was thought to have been caused by low visibility, leading to the helicopter colliding with a nearby hillside. These victims were John Altobelli and his wife Keri Altobelli, plus their daughter Alyssa Altobelli. Altobelli was a retired national baseball coach. Christina Mauser was also another victim, a female basketball coach. The last victims were Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton Chester, who plays in the same youth basketball team as Gianna Bryant.

Can You File Wrongful Death Suits Against Air Charter Companies?

Each year, more than 100 helicopter accidents will take place. An incident such as the one experienced by the late Bryant family is not an uncommon situation. However, if you plan to take legal action against air charter companies that operated these private helicopters, it is best to consult a lawyer before taking any further steps. Remember, these companies probably have a strong legal team already on their payroll and they may not be willing to dispense the payout that you are legally entitled to as a helicopter accident victim.
