Planting Seeds for Earth Day
The Adamson Ahdoot Outreach Team will hold a weekend event celebrating April 22, Earth Day
The Adamson Ahdoot Outreach Team is gearing up for Earth Day! The Outreach team will participate in an incredible event at Rowan Avenue Elementary School on April 20th, from 10 am to 1 pm.
Rowan Elementary and AA Law Outreach aim to engage the community in a day of environmental action. And of course, friends and family members are encouraged to participate! The team is enthusiastic about enhancing the community and Rowan school grounds. Better yet, the event aims to inspire and engage with young learners at the school. It hopes to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in students. This will help lay the groundwork for a greener, brighter future.
Volunteers will be involved in a variety of activities. This includes planting native or drought-tolerant plants, weeding out unwanted foliage, spreading woodchips, and contributing to the construction of planter boxes or benches. Additionally, the team plans to freshen up the cafeteria with a new coat of paint. No prior experience is necessary, and all the required guidance and tools will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
Although a can-do attitude will get you far, the team stresses all volunteers’ safety and comfort. So remember, parts of this volunteer event might require participants to lift up to 25 lbs. Accommodations will be available if necessary, however. But, water and light snacks will be provided to keep volunteers energized throughout the event.
Jeff Can, Adamson Ahdoot Medical Records Clerk, expressed his excitement ahead of the event. “I’m enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of our planet, which is just as crucial as nurturing the development of the children at Rowan Elementary,” Can shared. “Planting and nourishing our ecosystem serves as a meaningful symbol for the school’s young learners.”
How to Get Involved?
For those unable to attend this event, the Outreach team encourages everyone to stay engaged and keep an eye out for future Adamson Ahdoot Outreach Team events. They also invite individuals to explore and participate in other Earth Day activities, ensuring a collective positive impact on the community and the planet.
The team looks forward to a successful event and would like to remind everyone, “It’s a collective effort towards a sustainable future!”
