Male Pedestrian Dead in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run
On Saturday, December 12th, a hit-and-run incident was reported to have taken place in Bakersfield. Bakersfield Police Department was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened in the vicinity of Texas Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at about 5:30 p.m.. A male pedestrian who was walking in the area was struck by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle in question was later found abandoned in Clyde Street, with its occupants nowhere to be found. The pedestrian suffered a fatal injury and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
