37-Year-Old Dead After A Single-Vehicle Crash in Bakersfield

A single-vehicle crash was reported to have taken place in Bakersfield on Sunday, November 1st. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The accident happened on Highway 58, near Oswell Street. The vehicle was occupied only by the driver, a 37-year-old female named Nancy Gallegos Hernandez. Hernandez was driving on Highway 58 when the vehicle suddenly turned in the wrong direction and fell headfirst into a nearby embankment. She was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown what may have caused the accident. Authorities are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
